New Benji TOP is located in a traditional residential urban alleyway next to a main city thoroughfare in New Taipei City, Taiwan. Three of the site's sides have narrow streets, and the nearby structures range in height from 2 to 5 floors. The site is created by joining several connecting parcels with previously demolished old structures as part of the city's urban regeneration program.  The addition of ground-level programs and public space along the streets improves the urban environment, which is now safer, greener, and more pedestrian-friendly. The building's distinguishing skyline and welcoming exterior give the neighborhood a distinct identity and a strong sense of place.
